Demand for high-speed internet is growing with the popularity of Netflix, streaming and social media – and customers are requesting more data and bandwidth options from service providers. Calgary-based Corridor Communications Inc. (CCI Wireless) has been experiencing considerable growth over the last year to meet this demand.
“High-speed internet is becoming a utility service,” states Amir Bigloo, Chief Executive Officer of CCI Wireless. “Thanks to our partnership for $4.5 MM with First West Capital we were able to acquire 13 2500 MHz licenses in Alberta and Ontario, which allows us to enhance and expand our service offerings.”
“George was able to meet very tight timelines – he understood our business needs and was able to tailor funding accordingly,” shares Amir. “This was crucial to our success.”
Tailored and flexible options
In order for CCI Wireless to attain the spectrum, they had to partake in a spectrum auction which took place over a four week period. During this time, George was available during the live auctions to provide support to CCI Wireless, as well as to respond to any inquiries and tailor the funding offering as needed in order to win the auction.
“We were happy to be able to facilitate the deal based on the outcome of the auction,” shares George. CCI Wireless was impressed with First West Capital’s responsiveness. “George was able to meet very tight timelines – he understood our business needs and was able to tailor funding accordingly, “shares Amir. “This was crucial to our success.”
Strength is in partnership
The partnership that has been solidified between CCI Wireless and First West Capital will serve as a strong foundation for future growth opportunities.
“Working with CCI Wireless has been extremely rewarding. Their situation required creative and collaborative planning in order to ensure overall success. I look forward to working with CCI Wireless to support their future growth and expansion plans,” states George. Amir adds, “Being prepared for secondary and other spectrum auctions is vital for the growth of CCI Wireless, and we look forward to working with George and First West Capital to ensure our long term success.”
